Business Cards Collected at Networking Events

Collection of Lost Business Cards

I know how it is, attend a fabulous networking event that night and come home with a stack of business cards that your not entirely sure you know what to do with. Then they end up tossed and mixed in with other cards in a drawer. Then when you back and revisit a few days, weeks, months later and it’s just a pile of s*** and have no idea what happened to that one card that you had a great connection with that you so badly wanted to contact for the possibility to do business with them. Well, I understand completely. Well, a possible solution is to staple each card to a notebook page and write just below the date, networking event, and location of where you met. Remember though to do this right when you get home, otherwise, it’s a wasted contact.

What is your goal for 2011?

Posted By Sweet02Buz on January 17th, 2011

Have a specific goal that wish to accomplish by 2011? Whether big or small, try breaking down the goal into smaller tasks. For example, lets say your goal is to make six figures by the end of 2011. Well, this could be an overwhelming goal to accomplish. So, try and think of ways to get there.

  • Make 5 warm calls a day to prospects
  • Blog everyday
  • Attend one networking each week
  • Send out promotions or incentives to clients to encourage major kudos or testimonial for a project completed.
  • Follow up with people from networking event and invite them for coffee or lunch.

These are just some ideas on how can reach the six figure mark. It’s important to keep a track record of what works and doesn’t.

This will make your goal much easier to accomplish. Also, if goal is too big, having much smaller goals will be more rewarding in case you did not reach the bigger goal for the year.

Don’t forget to reward yourself!

Creative Solutions :: Writing a Tagline

Writing a tagline for your companies business brand or name is an often challenging task. First, find some time out of your day to really sit down and think with little distractions. One easy method is through what i call ‘associations’. First, write down as many words that come to mind about your business. Then write down words that are related to the end result. Next, take the words that you like best and write more words next to each. Start combing these words into sentences with the end result either at the beginning or end of each phrase. Keep you phrase only up to five words. Anything beyond is difficult to remember. Some of the best phrases out there are as little as three words like….

“Just do it”…Nike

“I’m Lovin It”…McDonnalds

“Better by Adobe”….Adobe

“Relax….it’s FedEx”….FedEx
